Be thankful for SPF this winter

Snow is already making its way over the Rockies and heading towards the Lou. Who knows if we will see a white Christmas this year, but what we are thankful for is SPF. Spray polyurethane foam, or SPF as it’s better known, helps keep our offices nice and toasty in the winter.
You may wonder, “How is it possible for spray foam to keep the winter chill at bay?”
Spray foam is liquid in form when it’s first applied. The dual compound is made of polyol fiber and isocyanate to give spray foam its strong but flexible composite. As the spray foam is applied, the two chemicals connect for an instant chemical reaction. The positive response is a rapid expansion process that is magical to watch.
The liquid compound allows spray foam to slip and slide into hard-to-reach energy voids. The rapid expansion allows the spray foam to ultimately seal off any cracks or crevices in your roofing structure or building walls. Everything from wall outlets to HVAC soffits are fair game for using spray foam to protect the energy envelope of your building.
This year, we’re thankful for spray foam. Our R&A Contracting team constantly hears how business owners across St. Louis are saving thousands of dollars every year on energy costs because they trusted SPF to insulate their offices throughout any season. This winter is projected to be colder than normal after an abnormally warm fall season. Don’t be left wishing your office had just a little more protection from the Midwest winter.
We have a variety of spray foam solutions from big to small to match your energy needs once and for all. Our R&A Contracting team offers a complimentary on-site inspection to see how spray foam can protect your building this winter.
